Story Deconstructor does not pretend to provide a definitive guide on how stories should be crafted. Rather, it is an endless exploration based on the premise that great stories can be deconstructed. By doing so, we can draw many lessons that can later be applied to building our own stories.
It has often been said that one learns more by reading “bad” writing, therefore understanding what could have been done better, but Story Deconstructor is not about that. On the contrary, it’s about seeking masterfully crafted material that serves us as strong blueprints for powerful writing.
My hope is that these deconstructions assist you in your writing journey as much as they have done for me. But even more so that they provide you, lovers of the imagination and the written word, the joy brought by roaming through skillfully crafted stories laid before us by fellow writers.
